X Marks The Spot In Xmas

It’s beginning a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go. Not a creature was stirring. Except for that annoy partridge in a pear tree. Let the hunt for Christmas begin!

Family
It’s a time when everyone is able to get together, share a meal and just enjoy spending time with one another, and possibly a game of Scattergories as well.

Delicious Sweets
I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this thing called fudge. Also, there’s this thing called puppy chow. And please don’t forget hug sandwiches (This is where you get two square pretzels and put a melted hug in between). Let me rephrase that, you better not forget hug sandwiches or I’m not coming mom! Seriously, Justin will take back that singing bass with a Christmas hat on it that he bought for you this year, in a heartbeat.

Christmas Movies
Top Five Must Watch Movies At Christmas
A Charlie Brown Christmas – classic, tree is awesome
A Christmas Story – I have a red ryder b.b. gun because of this movie
The Night They Saved Christmas – a Charlie’s Angel, Santa Clause, and dynamite. Done!
Home Alone – I’ll give you to the count of ten to watch this movie. One…two…ten! Keep the change, you filthy animals.
Gladiator - Russell Crowe being a badass is the gift that keeps on giving.

Receiving Gifts
I don’t know about you, but I get really excited when I see a wrapped box that has my name on it. What’s inside? Is it a nerf gun? Is it a video game? Is it a homemade sweater? The only way to find out is to rip that shiny paper off the box and open it up.

Giving Gifts
The older I get, the more I enjoy this more than receiving gifts. I consider it a personal challenge to find something for those I love that they’ll like. I love the moment the idea hits you, when you buy it, wrap it, and then get to see them open it up. I love that feeling of joyfully giving something with no expectation of getting anything in return (This is not to say don’t get me anything. I’m registered at Best Buy and Target, for those still looking.) So let me give all of you my little bloggies a gift.

While I truly do enjoy everything I listed above, Christmas for the last seven years has been different for me. A little over seven years ago I went on a walk; little did I know it would began a journey. I gave my life to Christ that night. I accepted Jesus Christ in my heart and decided to stop living for my self and start living for Him. Jesus was the greatest gift I could ever receive and the greatest gift I could ever hope for. God sent his son who died, so we may live. So while you are gathered with your family, eating, watching movies, and exchanging gifts; remember we’ve already received the greatest gift of all.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah 9:6-7(6) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
