I'm watching some Star Trek while writing this post so with that said.....
Captain's Log: January 2nd, Year 10 of the 2000
I am witnessing a strange occasion..... On this planet, beautiful, intelligent women are forced to unionize with alien lifeforms.... Perhaps this is to eliminate their weak genetics.... They are hard to describe.... They are awkward looking, no fluid motion... Very narrow in build.... Strangely lacking any butt whatsoever.... They are scavengers, with no means to purchase their own food....
Seriously though, it was a great and amazing time with family and friends. Getting to hang Lub his last couple of days as a single man was a blast. He, myself, Matty Goodlooks, and Ben went out the night before the wedding and engaged in a heated discussion about the validity, gravitas, and similarities of two of America's finest films. The wedding itself was great. I could see how excited DP was to officiate the ceremony. Lucky for us, he decided to serenade us with some guitar while we waiting to take pictures. Matt and I tested out the tandem bike to make sure it would be safe for use later on. The ceremony went smoothly and I was able to fight off the urge to object to the wedding. As best man I had the privilege of escorting Ally's very cute sister (rough job, I know). Lub held it together and Ally looked so beautiful and happy. The reception was great and it was fun to catch see my family. I did an OK job doing the speech. It didn't help that everyone I talked to beforehand asked me if I was nervous about doing it. Special shout out to Kris Snyder and Matt Waite for taking it up a notch with the trash talking, well done boys. Good news is Lub liked it and that's all that matters. The night was about the two of them and their love for one another. No matter what happened, they enjoyed every minute of it. Because they were doing it together and with love for each other. That's what makes it beautiful. (Crap, where was that when I couldn't think of what to say next in my speech, typical.)
